About Dary STEM

Africa's mind for the world's STEM. A hands-on learning platform built in Ghana, free for students, where the lesson is the doing.

What we are

Dary STEM is a learning platform for students, teachers, and parents. Students learn by building: writing real code, wiring circuits in a 3D simulator, and working through graded activities that respond the moment they are submitted. It is built in Ghana, for learners across Africa and beyond, and it is free for students.

Today the catalogue covers electronics, robotics, digital systems, and computing — from a first circuit to university-level logic design, including Boolean algebra, logic gates, adders, flip-flops, counters, and finite-state machines. The broader STEM catalogue (mathematics and the sciences) is on the way; we would rather ship a subject properly than advertise one we have not built yet.

What we believe

Curiosity is infrastructure. A child who can ask why a circuit lights up, and trace the answer, is a child who can build the next generation of African industry. We treat that curiosity as foundational, not optional.

Theory dies in the chalk. Every concept on Dary STEM is hands-on by default. Drag the resistor. Wire the LED. Watch current flow. Run the code on a virtual board. The lesson is the doing.

Mastery should be visible. Progress, momentum, and mastery scores answer one question for the student: am I getting closer to something real? We try to make the answer honest and always shown.

Three studios, one platform

The same student can make in three ways, side by side, sharing one gradebook and one identity:

  • Blocks — drag-and-drop programming with Google Blockly, the clearest on-ramp from idea to working program.
  • Circuits — a real-time 3D breadboard with hundreds of components and SPICE simulation underneath. Build it, wire it, see it light up.
  • Arduino — a full C++ editor with compile and AVR microcontroller emulation; sketches run on a simulated board with the wired circuit responding in real time.

Who it is for

  • Students learn at their own pace, build a portfolio of real projects, and earn certificates. Free, always.
  • Teachers author courses, run classrooms, grade work, and track mastery, with tools to align lessons to curriculum standards.
  • Parents follow their child’s progress, receive signals when something needs attention, and approve any marketplace spend.

Built in Ghana

Dary STEM is built and operated from Ghana. We take data protection seriously and handle personal information in line with Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) and, for international learners, the EU General Data Protection Regulation. You can read how we handle your data in our Privacy Policy, and the rules of using the platform in our Terms of Service.
